Why everyone keeps coming back.

Casadante is a vibrant culinary gem nestled in the heart of Rome at Piazza Dante, 8. This standout restaurant offers an authentic Italian dining experience with a contemporary twist, capturing the essence of Roman flavors while inviting guests to indulge in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The cuisine at Casadante focuses on classic Italian dishes elevated with meticulous attention to detail and quality ingredients. A highlight often mentioned by patrons is their phenomenal cornetto, praised by Rebecca Copley as “the best cornetto I’ve had in Rome,” perfectly complemented by thoughtfully presented hot beverages served in charming, characterful dishes that enhance the sensory experience. For those with a sweet tooth, the tiramisu is a must-try—fresh, delicately balanced, and lauded by Thomas Höchtl as one of the best he’s ever tasted. Meanwhile, the pinsa—an airy, focaccia-style base topped with flavorful ingredients—is a crowd favorite, with Mylie Brennan applauding its perfectly prepared flavor and texture.

Stepping into Casadante, guests are immediately struck by its intriguing interior design, creating a unique ambiance that expertly balances elegance and comfort. Though some have noted a limited hot beverage menu during certain times, with primarily cold and alcoholic drinks available, the overall vibe remains inviting—ideal for a leisurely coffee and chocolate croissant in the morning or a relaxed aperitivo in the evening. Areko13 Gaming Around, a hospitality industry professional, reverently describes the place as “great and magnificent,” highlighting its spacious and neat environment that perfectly suits both locals and travelers alike.

The attentive and welcoming staff only amplify the experience, providing service that transcends typical expectations, even for visitors with limited Italian language skills. This thoughtful hospitality, combined with the restaurant’s charm, makes Casadante not just a dining spot, but a place where culture and cuisine intertwine seamlessly. Whether you’re craving a light breakfast, a rich dessert, or a satisfying meal in a memorable setting, Casadante promises to leave a lasting impression on your Roman culinary journey.

Best cornetto I've had in Rome! Also excellent service, great atmosphere, and love the dishes they use for their hot beverages.

Peculiar place with an interesting inner interior. Unfortunately, we couldn’t have coffee/tea, because only cold and alcohol drinks were served. I suggest to change it, because some people want to have just a coffee break between lunch & dinner.

Nothing to say more than beautiful. We just came to Rome for 2d visit, 1 night. By our guest house guy, we got recommended here. Btw, i'm a bartender/waiter/host, so I'm in the business for around 20 years, so imagine coming here and finding such a great and magnificent place. In the morning, coffee and chocolate croaissant ( corneto ). I took the chance to check the place. Big, neat, I dunno, GORGEOUS. A staff member explained to me abt the place... first a girls school, gym, office's and Casa Dante ( maybe i missed some info? Im not great in Italian yet ^^ ) The place is charming, have different areas and sits. The place have a great charm. We did finish the night with a good drink in there. Today morning, under a bit heavy rain, we enjoyed the coffee and foccacia. Btw, staff friendly, big smile and easy to talk, at least with one's we had contact with :) If I come back to Rome, i need to come eat lunch/dinner i n here ^^

The tiramisu was honestly one of the best I’ve had – super fresh and just the right balance. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere had a special charm to it. A place I’d gladly come back to.

Excellent food - the pinse were on a thick focaccia style base and the appetizers were flavorful and perfectly prepared. We went twice (a rarity). The atmosphere was a highlight, and service was excellent (especially given our lackluster italian language skills). Will certainly go again!

I love this place, especially for working but they have a huge service problem. Here's what happened (this last time). I have had a few experiences with a middle-aged waitress in which she refused to serve me breakfast items even before breakfast time was over. This time I went with friends who wanted to order from the lunch menu before lunch time and I wanted to order from the breakfast menu. It was 12:10, I asked for my Salmon Cornetto and she replies that it's now lunch time. My friends ask to order lunch, and she says they can't until 12:30. I asked her how come and she says that they're actually out of Salmon Cornetto in the kitchen, without asking. I then asked another sweet young girl if she could check for me and she got it in 3 minutes. They should train their waiters for good service as it ruins the overall experience.

This has been the best pizza (pinsa) I have ever tasted. Prices are good and local wine is served. Also this is not a typical tourist restaurant, it’s known from the locals. All in all I am very very happy. Would recommend it.
